MarwellPhotographic Group

We are a Photographic Club based at Marwell Zoo near Winchester, Hampshire, UK.

We aim to promote photography and publicise the conservation work of Marwell Zoological Park through contact with other Photographic Groups and photographers, as well as provide the more normal friendly social atmosphere of other photographic clubs.

Wildlife and natural history photography is obviiously the most popular subject of the group's members, although the group embraces all types of photography.

The group is a member of the Southern Photographic Federation, affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

We have around 100 members, with a variety of experience from beginners to those who claim to be "quite good"! everyone is friendly and willing to give advice and tips. We have no "internal league tables" or "beginners" and "advanced" sections, just one big happy group of people who like taking pictures.

Regular evening meetings at Marwell Zoo
Photographic Talks/members' nights
Tutorials
Evening and early-morning photography in the zoo
Internal and inter-club photographic competitions
